Entegra EX5000 erratic oil temps in Lancair aircraft

For pilots/shops complaining erratic oil temps in Lancair aircraft. Complaints are 40 - 70 degrees off.

In the Engine settings uncheck the Oil Temp.

In late 2004 Avidyne, Moritz and Lancair were trying to make this work and it was discovered that the analog oil pressure/oil temperature gage needed to be changed to lower the voltage output to the SIU. Mid-Continent agreed to do so for a charge. Lancair never approved the change and here is where things get fouled up.

There is no fix for erratic oil temps on the MFD.
