Uploading User Waypoints can be done on any IFD running system software version 10.3.X.X or later.  The process to complete the upload can be found on page 7-76 in the IFD5XX Pilots Guide and 6-70 in the IFD4XX Pilots Guide.

User Waypoints are limited to 500 waypoints.
